I'm a security engineer specialising in software supply-chain security, vulnerability management, application security and secure software development. Currently pursuing an MSc in Advanced Computer Science (Cyber Security) at the University of Hertfordshire.
Background
My professional journey has taken me through several distinct fields before leading me to cybersecurity. Starting out in customer relationship management systems, I then moved into telecommunications before eventually finding my footing in cybersecurity. This unusual route has given me a well-rounded, almost restless curiosity about how organisations actually function beneath their processes and policies. That curiosity turned into a specialism: software supply chain security, vulnerability management and application security. These are the quieter disciplines that keep systems trustworthy long after they have been shipped. I am now building on this foundation by studying for an MSc in Advanced Computer Science with a focus on cyber security at the University of Hertfordshire. So far, I have excelled in the following modules: Advanced Algorithms and Paradigms, Distributed Systems Security, Digital Forensics, and Penetration Testing. My focus area lies at the edge of that discipline, in how AI algorithms and access management might be brought closer together to build systems that respond more intelligently to context.
